The Application
The Swingfog® SN 50, our high performance thermal aerosol fog generator for the efficient combating of mosquitoes, insects, pests, fungus diseases, viruses, bacteria, and deodorization. It is the fogger of choice by Mosquito Commissions, US Military, and other Government Agencies.
  • Effective mosquito control in woods, swamps, creeks, streams, etc.
  • Plant protection in greenhouses and plantations (ornamental plants, vegetables, cocoa, sugar cane, coffee, palm trees, cotton and cereals).

Working Principles
Swingfog® thermal aerosol fog generators are gasoline (unleaded or leaded) driven and work according to the SWINGFIRE® principle developed by Motan nearly 60 years ago. A fuel/air mixture from the carburetor is ignited in the combustion chamber, and the resulting deflagrations oscillate a column of gas in the resonator pipe between 80 and 110 times per second. The solution is injected into the hot air stream at the end of the fogging tube and is dispersed into the finest aerosol droplets and distributed into an extensive, dense fog. Chemical solution and fuel are conveyed by a small overpressure in their respective tanks. With the exception of the pulsing diaphragm, the system has no mechanical moving parts, and therefore no wear and tear. The pulsing diaphragm is used to supply the overpressure to the tanks. Electric energy is merely consumed at the start of the pulse engine for the initial spark, and is supplied by four standard D cell batteries.

The Technique
The Swingfog® SN 50 is our lightest portable thermal aerosol fog generator. The power of the combustion chamber is more than 25 HP which makes it possible to apply oil based, water based, and wettable powder based chemicals in an equivalent droplet spectrum. The thermo-pneumatically produced fog guarantees a very high efficiency and excellent penetration.

The Advantage
With a minimum quantity of chemical preparation, an optimal effect and coverage is achieved. In comparison with conventional methods, Swingfog® thermal aerosol fogging equipment achieves approximately 90% labor savings when treating small and large areas. There is no soil contamination by dripping losses and any chemical residues are reduced more rapidly. The Swingfog® technique provides a valuable contribution to the protection of the environment. By means of various nozzles either the ULV (Ultra Low Volume) or the LV (Low Volume) application can be employed.

No other thermal aerosol fog generator enjoys such worldwide acclaim. The Swingfog® SN 50 is a portable powerhouse that excels on application problems where other machines fail. There is no application to big or too small, indoors or outdoors.

The above will vary outdoors depending on humidity and wind speed. Humidity will keep the fog closer to the ground, and wind speed will carry the fog a greater distance.
         
     Fog Particle Size: 0.5 - 50 microns
90% of the microns range from 15 - 25 microns depending on the solution type and nozzle used. The smaller the nozzle, the smaller the droplet size. When comparing droplet sizes using oil based and water based solutions (using the same nozzle), oil based solutions are generally slightly smaller in size.
